Jak co tydzień gra w pingponga wieczorem u grega, dzisiaj widocznie rano myślami byłem gdzie indziej i zostawiłem w pociągu torbę ze sprzętem do gry i sportowym ubrankiem.
Doszedłem do biura i nagle zauważyłem że nie mam torby, szybki spacerek do biura lost&found na stacji, tłumaczenie, musiałem dokładnie opisać gdzie, jaki pociąg, jak wygląda torba, co jest w środku, w którym wagonie byłem, po której stronie, czy torba była na ziemi czy na półce wysoko itp.
Do tego na każdej stacji mają dokładny plan wszystkich innych stacji po to żeby łatwiej można było określić w którym dokładnie wagonie byłem, do tego dokładny rozkład jazdy czyli wiadomo gdzie pociąg teraz jest i gdzie należy zadzwonić poprosić obsługę o sprawdzenie czy zguba jest tam gdzie była.
Pełen profesjonalizm.
Poczekałem z 10 minut na stacji, pan sprawdził w systemie, podzwonił i po chwili powiedział że się znalazła, powiedział gdzie mam się udać, potrwało to prawie godzinę w jedną stronę, potem jeszcze szukanie tamtejszego biura lost&found i mam torbę z powrotem :-).
Nic tutaj nie ginie.

Every week we play table tennis at greg’s place, this morning my mind was somewhere else and i left my sports bag on the train to work.
I came to the office and realized that i had no bag, quick walk to the station lost&found office, explanation, i had to describe where, which train, how did the bag looks like, what was inside, which car i took, on which side, whether the bag was on the floor or the top rack.
In addition to that at every station they have very detailed maps of all other stations to make it easier checking which car it was – basically shows how the train lays out along the platform, if you can remember that you left right in front of staircase that might help you figure out it was car number x.
More – they have access to very detailed train schedule and know exactly where the train is now and where to call and ask service to check if lost stuff is there.
I had to sit there for about 10 minutes, the guy checked in the system, made a few calls, and told me that bag has been found, told me where to go, it took me almost one hour to get there, then i had to find their lost&found office and i have bag with me now. :-)
It would be hard to really lose something here.
